Make certain the sewer system is well designed

You may be aware that your drainage pipe system is designed to move effluents into the septic tank. They are also used in the sewer system in our homes where they are used in between the inspection chambers. The system should be self cleaning and prevent blockage. A proper slope is required to ensure this smooth flow. Drain lines mostly comprise of UPVC tubing. However testing is very important before the system can start functioning. The tests must be conducted in between the inspection chambers to allow each part of the system to be thoroughly checked.

Drainage pipes are positioned in trenches which have been pre-dug. Trench depth has to be between 300 to 500 millimeters. A system is surrounded in concrete when it is passed below sidewalks, driveways or parking areas. Excavate to the necessary levels when beginning the project. The trenches should lead to or directed towards the tanks or sewers, away from the home. One to four is the acceptable ratio of the slope to be created. The trench bottoms are well compacted and rammed. Fix pegs at the base of each trench to set the required levels.

Maintaining straight lines is essential while laying down the drainage pipes. The pipes are then linked to sockets inclining upward or to a building. A firm and uniform bed for the pipes has to be ensured. Male and female sockets should be used to join the pipes using a good adhesive. Check the words of the supplier of the gluing material. The drainpipe should go completely into the wall’s thickness as they are being joined to the inspection chambers. Remove the accumulated debris from the pipes whenever possible.

Thorough inspections are carried out on the drainage pipe before it is laid in the channel. This is to ensure they are not punctured. Ensure the socket recesses are formed in the foundation. Keep them short where possible. The inspection chamber’s entry and exit points need to be graded well, in addition to being leveled. The system is then buried beneath soil when all the joints have been finished and checked. Make the final connections to the sewer or septic tank. After this connect to the utilities to complete the drainage.
