What kind of plumbing / drainage will I need for a washing machine and seperate dryer?

I want to put my washer and dryer in the outside store. There’s mains water in there for the input but it’s not tapped, there’s no sign of drainage either – any advice on what’s needed?. I need drainage so that the water does not drain all over the floor.

The dryer will only need a vent to the outside or you will get condensation into the outside store and cause damp problems and mould growth. You need a hot water supply and a cold water supply. Each must have an isolator with the connection for the washing machine hoses. You need a 3 or 4 inch pipe that goes to a main drain. Not a rainwater drain, and the drain pipe from the washing machine pokes into this pipe. You will need to run a drain pipe to a suitable point. Then you will need a 13amp electricity supply.

washing machine- you’ll need a drain or piping to a drain for the waste water. you could use a nearby sink and for the drainage. and you’ll need hot and cold water.

dryer should onoly need an electric soource and exhaust hose.
